This triskele necklace is made out of an etched Virginia State Quarter. The reverse side features the Susan Constant, Godspeed, and Discovery, the three ships that brought the first English settlers to Jamestown.
The Triple Spiral is a Celtic/Pre-Celtic symbol that was originally found carved on ancient stone ruins. Some speculate that it was a Pagan fertility symbol representing the nine months of pregnancy. This theory is based on the way that the sun makes a spiral-like pattern every three months As with many other Celtic symbols, the Triskele was adopted by Christians to represent the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, making it a symbol of Eternity.
